This Is it!

This is the end of this baby book. Stick around through, I've got three more nieces that are having babies, a new granddaughter and a grandchild (don't know what it is yet) on the way, so I'll be making each of them a book and posting them on here as I get them done. In fact I have a few pages already made for some of the books, and I'll get them up hopefully by the weekend. Thanks for looking at this one. I hope she will like it. If you see something that you like I don't mind if you scraplift them at all....help yourselves, I know when I have scrapper's block sometimes scraplifting helps me get the juices flowing.

Birthday

This is the birthday page. I will warn you now, there are several pics. I tried to get some good close up of the animals. The lion, Rhino, Zebra and Giraffe were all made with the hand made paper. The hippo is made out of card stock. The pattern paper is from the new Bo Bunny birthday line. I did use Orange Peel Stickles on the lion mane and giraffe's antlers as well as on some of the party hats. I used different stickles on each of the hats to decorate them up. The ballons were cut using good ol' stand by George. The party words were used with Jubilee. I inked the animals in either color box's charcole, pistastio, sunflower or gray. The white I used mainly on the Zebra is brillance Moonlite. The mats were inked as well.

This is starting the close up of the layouts.

Christmas

It's the most wonderful time of the year! This was another class of that wonderful teacher at my LSS. Again I did however change up the paper, because she did use some pinks and another reason that I changed up the paper was that my LSS ran out of the paper that she did use and they were out of the white handmade paper. The hat, hollies and leaves are the only thing made out of the handmade paper. The face of santa is made with the sea side paper, which a very flimsy card stock. I used white card stock for the santa hair and beared. You'll have to forgive my details on his beared....I've never, nor will I claim to be able to draw. I know I know it's my cross to bear...lol . I did use the Frosted Lace stickles to go around all the white on santa,Black Diamond on the black band, Holly green around the holly leaves. On the mice's ears I used Ranger's Glossy Accent (or you can use Diamond Glaze) on the inside of their ears and on there noses. The 2008 I shadow in black and then cut the numbers in green with Plantin Schoolbook. The circle text was printed off in microsoft word, I then stuck some Hero Arts gems in between the repeatting words.

Happy Halloween

First off I must apologize for my camera. It would seem that it was having one of it's PMS days. I'll try give you a good description of everything that I did. The word Halloween were some shiny letter stickers that I bought along time ago. The small ghost, house, lager ghost, and skull heads, (those are on the left in the last black square at the bottom) are from Making Memories. The three black squares on the right are inkadinkadoo stamps and I stamped those skeletons in staz on cotton white. I did take some staz on black and used it to smear on the layout to give it that halloween smokey feel. The chandelier is from Hero Arts and again, I used the staz on white. The word Spooky was cut using Printting Press. This was a real simple layout to do.

AWWWWEEEE Spring Time!

The wonderful, joyous, beautiful spring! Couldn't forget to put a spring time page in the baby's book since spring is new, fresh, and happy time, just like a brand new baby. The words Spring, Sprung, scallop circles, grass and small circles, I cut using Plantin Schoolbook. The lil' animals that are under the words are stamps from Sassafrass. These lil stamps are just to stinking cute! The frog, turtles, lillypad and cat tails were hand cut using the bling bazzill paper. The word HAS are some of the Studio G's alphabets. I do ink almost everything and this layout has a lot of color box inking on it.

Easter Layout

At my LSS there is a teacher that does so many wonderful layouts with handmade paper, I always sign up for her classes. There are times when I can't attend her class but I do get the kits. This the pattern from one of the class kits. I did however changed the paper because the other one had alot of pink in it and I am trying to stay away from pinks since this is for a boy. The word easter I cut from Plantin Schoolbook and I used stickles on the eggs. there really wasn't much to making this one. Although the three bunnies were a bit difficult to tear them with out them ripping.

Here's some more of the Baby Book

This one is a family layout. I used Basic Grey Porcelain line. I loved how the greens, yellows, browns and a little bit of orange all worked together. The fern is a stamp from Hero Arts and the technique was really easy to do. I took several different Tim Holtz distressing inks and just randomly patted them on. I then took a mini spritzer and misted the stamp with the ink on it, and then stamped it. I did cut around part of the fern so that it was hanging off a little bit. The flourishes were made with a Sizzix die that I have and cut it with my cuttle bug. The word family was cut in brown with my Potpourri Basket cartridge and I shadow cut it in yellow. That's about all I did to this one.

When I make a baby book, I always make a page that you can put a pic of what the baby looks like each month and you can see the changes so much easier then having to flip back and forth. I made one in my nieces first book and she did what a page like that in this book. I did make this one different then the last one. The paper I used was some scraps from other pages and the teddy bear is made out of the seaside paper. The letters are from Tear Drop cartridge. The blue strip I came up with while i was talking to my daughter one the phone. I had a teddy bear punch and I was just punching on a strip of paper while I was talking to her. I liked it and so after I got off the phone with her I made the strip and used it . The months were stamped and I popped dotted them.

Grandmother Layout

This is a grandmother page. Since my niece was having a boy I didn't want to use a lot of pinks and purples. I did like this one for the grandmother page. I love the peach, rust and apricot colors in it. The tags were made with Tags, Bags, Boxes and more. The letters
were made with Jasmin and the tags are attached with mini heart brads that I had. The flowers are Got Flowers, and in the center I used clear gems.

More dinosaur paper! I feel in love with this paper and I think I bought most of it up at
the store......I knew I wanted to put this in the baby book. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I didn't use any cricut or stickles on this page.

Here are the single pages.

This one I intend on it being the last page since it's only a single page. I found some dinosaur paper at my LSS and I fell in love with it and wanted to use it in the baby book. All boys need dinosaurs in there books....

Rocket Man

Saw this paper at my LSS and I had to have it! I like how this page turned out. I didn't use any cricut on it. I got it my LSS. Not much more to explain on this one....lol...I will say that it was quick, easy and i had fun making it!

Old Man Winter

This one is another one that was hand pieced. My husband was making fun of my snow men because of there big noses.....(must remeber to remove hubby's blog from my list......lol.....Just kidding hmmmmmmmmm or am I?!) I saw this layout somewhere, I don't remeber wished I did I would love to give them credit for the idea, anyways I thought it was soooooooooooo cute and I had to do it and I'm glad I did. Even though hubby laughs at them and makes fun of those poor lil snowmen that didn't do anything to him but be cute. I like them just the way they are, big noses and all. I don't have Graphically Speaking so I made the word "CLOD" on DS (that's about all I can do on ds......oh and I can weld words...lol) with plantin Schoolbook.
( this one is starting to become my go to cartridge) the snowflakes I used Joy of the Season and then I lightly sprayed them with snowy nights glimmer mist. It gave the snowflakes a little shuttle of shimmer with a pale blew cast on it. It actually made the snowflakes pop off of the page. I happen to like how this page turned out. Below you will find the single shots.

Now this layout I had so much problems with! The paper itself was soooooooooooo dark it was hard to match. The dump truck that's the dump truck from HELL!!!! I had so much trouble piecing it together that I almost threw it in the trash! I stayed with it and finally got it to work. Sorry that it's a little blurry. You'll just have to trust me on how bad my nerves were after putting that lil' dump truck together. I used Tear Drop for the words It's a boys life. I know you can't really see it unless you click on the pictures and then I hope you'll be able to see, but inside the diamonds I had some brads that matched the paper and I put them on. I do however like how this page turned out. Even thought I wantted to toss the dump truck. After finally fighting with the sump truck it was worth it, I think it added just the right touch to the page. And again here's the single pages, maybe you can get a better look at the brads.

Awwwwww Valentines day, the day of love, couldn't resit on putting some bears in the baby book....what is it about bears and babies? They seem to go hand in hand....kinda of like srapbooking and chocolate....lol. The heart and letters, I made that with printing press, the bears were hand cut and pieced together. The two tags I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I had some valentine 3d stickers that I put on and the paper was some that I got at my LSS. I should of wrote down the names of all the papers that I used but I wasn't blogging when I made these....
And here are the single layouts.

This is just a baby page that I made. I do like to personalize them with the baby's name on them. I think it give it that added touch to let them know that this was made just for them. The airplane and clouds where made with New Arrival....The ribbon I had in my stash.....(I've have lots and lots of ribbon) the heart and all boy were some rub ons that I had used on a prier layout I think it was the layout that was "little one" and then had "miracle".

Single layouts

Here's a Daddy & Me page. I put in a Mommy & Me page so I had to put a Daddy and me page in
there. The paper was some I got last summer and it worked for this page. You can't really see it but on the circles I added stickles. The emblishments were from Bo Bunny (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE BO BUNNY) the circle i cut was from George and I think i used George for the letters as well but don't quote me on that. And Again you can see the single pages below.

Gots to have a St. Patty's Day layout. I'm sure there isn't much to do with a baby's first St. Patty's but maybe dress him up in green and put a little shamrock on him and a hat.
